Today I received my first ever Reiki Healing. She asked me if I had any premonition as to what Chakra might be the most in need. I knew right away but I gave it careful thought anyway before I answered her. I said the Solar Plexus chakra. As you may know, I have been dealing with this Chakra on my own. I write about the experiences in Down the Rabbit Hole. She ran out of the room to get her large Citrine. I just smiled, I wondered if she knew I was wearing one of my own. The same Citrine that influenced me to quit my job and pursue my dream life. She came back with a big hunk of Citrine. I sat there in the dimly lit room holding it and looking at it and I started to maby tell her my story of my Citrine, and that I was even writing about it even though it happened a couple months ago. I noticed my ears began to get really hot and buzzing, like energy was coming out of my ears or something from the large Crystal in my hands.
She explained kind of what she was going to do as I had no idea what to expect what so ever, I mean, I know a little about Chakras, and a little about energy work, and I am a little intuitive, but I don't know much about Reiki. She said she was just going to assist the energy in flowing and help to release any blockages I may have, she said she may be working on my knees but the energy will go to where it needs to go.
And so I layed down on the massage table on my tummy with my face in the donut and noticed the smell of citrus. I couldn't quite tell what kind and she said it was lime and orange. Nice. She made sure I was nice and comfy and warm and then she started breathing really deep and put her hand on my feet. For the first I would say 10 minutes I didn't really feel anything at all. I was just relaxed and knowing it would help. She asked me if I wanted to add anything into the intention of the healing, and she suggested 10 things and I chose balance. And then a minute later I said, and I don't want to have to worry about Shane my husband any more. She said Ahh, worry can be very draining. So what I will have you do is picture Shane surrounded by pink light. Picture him happy and well cared for by his own Angels. (my husband has lyme disease). See if you can see a chord that is connecting you two, a chord that is a worry chord. Take a big pair of silver scissors now and just cut that chord.
On my own, after cutting the chord to Shane, I pictured my Dad and Brother surrounded by pink light.
From then on when she placed her hands near me I could subtly feel movement happening in my body. A couple things that REALLY stood out.
I had been suffering from a cramp in my heart for a couple days. You know the kind of cramp that's in your rib cage but it feels like your heart and its hard to breathe. Now this does not happen very often to me at all but this time it took a couple days before it went away. It had been completely gone for about two days when I was receiving the Reiki. When she placed her hands lightly on my upper back, I immediately felt the cramp slowly coming back. It intensified and then I felt it slip out the back of my neck. I could feel and see the energy in my minds eye coming out the back of my neck. It was really cool. Ive never experienced anything like that before. Then she went up further and started working around my head area. I felt some slight movement during the throat chakra and third eye chakra but then, I could sense her standing at the top of my head. And when she put her hands above my crown chakra, not even touching me, I felt a sudden gush of energy. I giggled. She asked me to describe what was happening. It was a peculiar feeling but the best I could describe it was like she pushed me hard.
